Fashion Camp

Fashion Camp Promotional Flyer

FashionCampNYC 2009 promotional flier. Fashion Camp is coming, in case you didn’t know. And I would feel remiss if I didn’t promote it as best I can. After stumbling into one of the earlier planning sessions, I’ve gradually been taking on new responsibilities—booze to social media outreach to ITP leason to schedule master—so I would feel particularly responsible if the event were to languish on any part due to me. One thing I don’t have to worry about now is attendance. We are almost at compacity. While the event is free, the space is limited. So, if you are a fashion designer, indie designer, or wearable technologist, book you tickets now for Fashion Camp, September 12th and 13th. See you there!

Fashion is all about change, but fashion is changing faster than ever before. How is this going to affect the way we dress, style, and live?

Fashion Camp is a two-day open conference in NYC on September 12th and 13th, 2009, bringing together the mainstream fashion community, the indie fashion community, and the next wave of wearable technologists to explore this question through workshops, presentations, and collaboration.

Fashion Camp NY is the first large event to bring together the mainstream fashion community, independent fashion community, and the fashion technology communities to share, discuss and explore the intersection of fashion and technology. Over two days, fashion professionals, designers, innovators and fashion-lovers will meet, share, teach and converse about the future of fashion.

FashionCampNY is planned as a “Barcamp” or “unconference,” which means its a free, participant-driven conference born from the desire for people to share and learn in an open environment. Discussions, demos and open participatory workshops are attended—-and run!-—by the participants. The event doesn’t cost any money, but there is a price: all attendees must give a demo, a session, or help with one.
